Hiu Yung Wong is a Professor at San José State University. He received his Ph.D. degree from the UCB. From 2016 to 2018, he worked on technology integration at Spansion and on TCAD simulation at Synopsys. He has received the Industry Sponsored Research Award, the AMD Endowed Chair Award, the Curtis W. McGraw Research Award, the NSF CAREER Award, the Newnan Brothers Award, and the Synopsys Excellence Award. He is the author of “Introduction to Quantum Computing” and “Quantum Computing Architecture and Hardware for Engineers”. He co-founded the M.S. program in Quantum Technology at SJSU. His research interests include applications of ML in simulation and manufacturing, cryogenic electronics, quantum computing, and wide-bandgap devices. He has published two books, one book chapter, 130 papers, and holds 11 patents.
