Dr. Pavel Freundlich serves as the Senior Vice President of Semiconductor Research and Development at Vishay Intertechnology. As a seasoned executive with over two decades of leadership in the semiconductor industry, he is responsible for driving Vishay’s global R&D strategy and the advancement of next-generation power semiconductor technologies with a particular emphasis on disruptive wide bandgap solutions and advanced silicon technologies for automotive and industrial power conversion. Prior to joining Vishay, Pavel spent 22 years at onsemi, where he most recently served as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of the Power Solutions Group. In that role, he was instrumental in spearheading the development of cutting-edge 200 mm and 300 mm Fab technologies and was a key architect of the company’s vertical integration strategy for wide bandgap materials. His expertise spans the full lifecycle of semiconductor development, from design and process integration to global team management. Pavel holds a PhD in materials science, a master’s degree in physics, and an Executive MBA.
