Simon McElrea
Biography
Simon McElrea is CEO of LQDX Inc., a Silicon Valley materials innovator for AI-driven semiconductor packaging. Simon also serves as a board-advisory member of Freepower.io, and is VP Americas of Catalsys Inc., a UK-based green energy company. A serial entrepreneur, McElrea has a track record of founding or restarting tech companies and scaling them to mass-adoption and successful exits. Prior to LQDX, he sold Semblant to HZO after its adoption by Apple, founded and served as President of Invensas Corp. (now Adeia, a NASDAQ company) and participated in Energous Corporation’s NASDAQ IPO. Most recently, Simon was COO of FreePower.io (a Shark Tank seeded wireless power technology adopted by Tesla in 2023). A graduate of Oxford and Stanford Universities, McElrea is the author of over 35 US patents and currently serves as Secretary of the Oxford University Society, Northern California chapter.
